 Astrology for Transformation

My name is Sophie, and this is how my astrology journey began.

In my early teens, I was fascinated by Sun signs—I’d compare signs with friends, devour horoscopes, and daydream about the influence of the stars. But it wasn’t until I was 25, after watching the film Shine, that something deeper stirred within me. A brief appearance by astrologer Gillian Helfgott in the movie sparked what I now call the butterfly effect: one quiet moment that shifted the course of my life.

At the time, I worked near Omega Centre, a mystical bookstore tucked in Torontos Yorkville district. It was a sanctuary filled with crystals, incense, and the kind of books that opened new portals of understanding. I spent many of my breaks there, soaking in esoteric wisdom. I had my palm read, visited a psychic, and eventually received my first astrology reading. It wasn’t just curiosity, it felt like remembering something ancient and sacred.

In 2014, astrology returned to my life through an astrologer whose presence felt uncannily familiar. Her teachings, her way of seeing felt like home. After my separation, I immersed myself in private lessons and began to see my own life through a completely new lens. In 2021, I committed more deeply and began studying with Maurice Fernandez, a renowned figure in Evolutionary Astrology.

Astrology has helped me make sense of every transformation I’ve been through, loss, reinvention, deep healing and now it is the tool I use to help others do the same. Whether through hairdressing, photography, or astrology, my work has always been about transformation. Now, its more cosmic, more intentional, and rooted in soul.
